"I am a Freelance Dancer, Choreographer, Teacher and Integrative Nutrition Health Coach-originally from California and based in Mannheim since 2017. My class is suitable for all levels and is a holistic fusion of guided improvisation, basic contemporary technique and creative movement tasks. My goals for this class are to inspire the growth of new sensations, movement qualities and to give a fun, playful access point into the world of contemporary dance. 17:00 - 18:30 | Dance workshop with TONY RIZZI (Ballett Frankfurt, Troubleyn/Jan Fabre, freelance dance artist)
"This short workshop will consist of a way of looking at how we can create movements by describing space and time.
Using the ideas of the Laban way of notating dance that Rizzi developed even further, together with William Forsythe at the Frankfurt Ballet for 20 years will be the starting point of this workshop.
We will examine Points in the air, the space between two points, lines, curves, planes, the volume of space, and momentum one can create to go from one of these elements to another one. And to find our own movement quality in this.
The fun thing about this workshop is it allows dancers of all levels to help get an understanding of dance.
The class will include a short warm-up of the body and then will organically lead into the improvisational ideas.
The floor may be slippery so one can also do this class in ballet shoes, bare feet, sneakers, or socks."
