Elsa Genova

Artistic Director and Ballet Mistress

Elsa Genova was born in Bulgaria. She received her dance education at the National Dance Academy of Sofia.

She was first soloist at the National Theatre Burgos in Bulgaria before and at the Rostock City Theater, in Germany, later.

Artist appreciated abroad, she interprets solo roles as a dancer in Egypt, Japan, Switzerland and Germany.

From 1994 to 2002 she was director of the Ballet City of Detmold, and from 2002 to 2015 Vice-director of the Ballet City of Pforzheim, Germany, together with the artistic director and choreographer James Sutherland, of which today as his close collaborator, helped staging over twenty-five choreographic productions.
