- opening speech

"ARCANA" – choreography by Raffaele Irace, danced by Tessa Fungo (Italy/USA)
Inspired by the mystery and symbolism of the Major Arcana of the Tarot, Arcana is an inner journey through the invisible forces that guide human choices and transformations. Each gesture evokes an archetype, a transition, a revelation. In the interplay of light and shadow, Arcana becomes a rite of knowledge, a path seeking balance between the visible and the invisible.

"SHIITAKE HIGHWAY 5D" – choreography by Sean Howe, danced by Victoria Chassé-Dominguez (USA)
Shiitake Highway 5D leads us into the inner world of a woman who, in turn, discovers the outer world—with all its beauty, unease, and tension. Through an increasingly complex movement language, the performer appears at the edge of the stage, as if trapped in a glass case under the audience’s gaze. Lights, fragments of text, and a warped classical soundtrack guide a journey from safety and protection toward the fragile yet astonishing beauty of the world.

"TRANSPARENT PERSON" – choreography and dance by Yingyu Lyu (China)
Transparent Person reflects on the desire for individual freedom in a world where many seem inclined to follow the crowd, as if disappearing into the “majority” were the safest option. Inspired also by the song Hero, with melodies and lyrics that deeply moved the artist, the dance expresses a dream of swimming freely like a dolphin—if only for one day as a king, a day of complete independence, without pleasing others or fearing their gaze.

"THE SKIN REMEMBERS" – choreography and dance by Einav Berkovich (Israel)
The Skin Remembers emerges from collective memory: stories, traumas, and traditions carried within our bodies. The work unfolds as a response to a community’s turmoil, exploring the tension between carrying history and the desire to rewrite it. Through movement, the piece investigates the possibility of transforming past and present into an act of clarity and healing, seeking in the skin a sensitive map of memory and renewal.

"COURAGE. BAD LUCK DOESN’T EXIST" – choreography and dance by Matteo Vignal / C.ia VIDAVÉi (Italy)
Bad luck is often blamed on external, uncontrollable forces that make us feel powerless. But does bad luck really exist, or is it simply our mind—and the world around us—frightening us? This creation develops as a detailed composition around the concept of the Self, through a surrealist solo exploring the complexity of the human psyche and the power of resilience.

"WHY" – choreography by Caterina Mochi Sismondi / compagnia blucinQue, danced by Jonnathan Lemos Felicio (Italy/Brazil)
An evocative interplay of movement, sound, and imagination: a performer moves delicately between comedy and melancholy, evoking fragments of life and scenes inspired by the metaphysical, poetic figure of Grock. The sound universe, rich in layers and deviations, blends references from film music—from Chaplin to Cabaret—with a physical-sound score inspired by Berio’s Sequenza V dedicated to the clown Grock. Circus artist Jonny Lemos uses three juggling balls, merging styles from past and future with the signature traits of blucinQue’s choreographic work.
