Thorsten Teubl
Thorsten Teubl studied Music and Theatre Studies at the University of Bayreuth and Music Theatre Direction at HfMT Hamburg under Götz Friedrich. He also completed a degree in Cultural Management at TU Dresden and the University of Federico II in Naples, and further specialized in curating for the performing arts. His career includes positions as stage director, dramaturg, and company manager across several German theaters. From 2008 to 2018, he served as Deputy Head of Dance Theatre at Staatstheater Kassel, later joining Landestheater Linz as dramaturg and manager of TANZLIN.Z, and Theater Chemnitz as Deputy Ballet Director. Since 2021, he has been Dance Director at Staatstheater Kassel, where he curates TANZ_KASSEL, fostering international collaborations and a repertoire that spans diverse choreographic voices. He also co-curated the German Dance Congress series New Friendships?! on the dialogue between institutions and the independent scene, and is a member of the jury for the German Dance Prize.
